4. Is tourism good or bad for the planet?

 I think tourism is bad for the planet because as I said last class, people do not have good manners who throw garbage away, kill its atmosphere and finally they destroy important things. For example, Chinese tourists pic coral reef up from the sea in Vietnam. Because of it, the number of coral reef is decreasing and fish cannot alive. So, I think tourism is not good for the planet.

Q4. Do Japanese have enough vacation time?

I think Japanese do not have enough vacation time. For example, in Japan, people who work at company have summer vacation for only 5 days. In spite of Japan, in Germany, people have summer vacation for 37 days. Japanese tend to work a lot and also company do not give long vacation to them. So, Japanese are difficult to go travel with their family and friends. In conclusion, I think Japanese vacation time is not enough.

Q5 Does society place too much importance on image and beauty?

I think beauty is important in society because it is easy to get jobs. Especially when someone who gets a job to meet visitors such as hotel clerks, bank clerks, announcers, CA and so on. If they are beautiful, they can give good impressions to visitors. So, beauty is important in society. ( but I think personality is more important than beauty...)

Q3 Some celebrities become fashion icons. Who are some fashion icons? Why      do you think they became icons? Do they have a good influence on people?

I think famous people can be a fashion icons. For example, Honda Keisuke is a famous soccer player in Japan. When he come back to Japan from foreign countries, media takes his picture at airport every time. And the pictures are published by them. And then, people imitate his fashion. So I think he is famous in Japan and because of the media, he became a fashion icon. And I think he has a good influence on people because his fashion is cool.

Bhutan started a Gross National Happiness Index. Now, there is a United Nations World Happiness Index. In 2012, Denmark was top, Canada 5th, New Zealand 8th, US 18th, Japan 44th, and Togo was last. Why do you think Japan is so low in spite of being rich country?

I think a lot of people are rich in the world. They are happy from someone else's perspective but they aren't satisfied with their lives. I think measuring the happiness index is not relevant weather the country is rich or poor.

4 When you are old and frail, would you want to live with your family or a nursing home?

I want to live with my family when I am old, because Idon't like lonely. However, if I have a disease and am frail (such as dementia),I can't do everything by myself. For example I may can't  go to the restroom , take a shower  and cook something. Then I will be trouble for my family. So, if I have such a disease, I want to live in a nursing home.

Discussion 3: love around the world

4;  advantage...you can find a person(partner) you want to meet. For example, if you want to find a person who is a government worker, doesn't smoke and  loves a dog , you can meet with the person easily. Disadvantage...you can't well know about the person  until starting the omiai. And you have to decide in 3 days whether you want to meet with the person again or not.

Do you wish you had done home schooling?

No.I have 2 reasons why I don't want to do home schooling.
Firstly, If my parents teaches me, they would  get angry.
Secondly, If I had done home schooling, I couldn't make friends. I think it's very important to communicate with teachers and friends , because when we get job, we have to communicate with coworkers and bosses.
